Clingy exes are quite destructive. They find ways to make your life miserable until you take them back into your loving arms. Of course, some exes understand the entire situation right off the bat but some just cannot get over the fact that they were dumped. These clingy exes simply do not understand the words “move on” or “the relationship is over.” For these stubborn individuals, you could follow several sound strategies to get rid of pesky former lovers. (In case your curious, read the Top ten ways to break up) In most cases, stubborn exes are out to regain the former relationship or they are simply want revenge. You should have at least a rough idea on your ex-partner's motives before you apply any strategy because your plans might backfire if you address the wrong motives. Exes who want to regain the relationship are much easier to deal with as explaining yourself throughly and logically will appease their desires. As for vengeful exes, they are in a state of temporary insanity since they are too biased to listen to any sort of explanation. Be prepared to take some punishment from them, if necessary. The Big C Everyone is a nut for closure. Oftentimes, a simple goodbye is not enough as estranged couples want clear parting shots right before moving on with their individual lives. Closure is defined as an act or a statement that proves to former lovers that the relationship is definitely over. There are more than a dozen ways to deliver a good closure, depending on the personality of your ex. (Tips on how to get rid of a broken heart)
  • The Sensible Ex – Sensible exes are the easiest to deal with. They only require clear and comprehensive conversations before they accept the fact that the relationship is finished. If your ex is quite logical, he or she will probably settle for one or two good conversations before moving on. Of course, there will be bitter moments for your ex, but eventually your ex's rationality will overcome the dramatic episodes.
  • The Whiny Immature Ex – These exes are not easy to dispose of. If you think that their annoying antics are bad during the relationship, prepare to be totally antagonized once you try to deliver the closure. Immature exes will make sure that you are properly demonized in the eyes of their friends and most of the time, they will attempt to turn your friends against you. To deal with beastly immature exes, you should exercise a good amount of indifference and not fight back. Explain to your ex and your friends why the relationship ended and why you are not keen on having a relationship with your ex anytime soon. Let your immature ex whine and attempt to make your life miserable as you treat your ex's antics as if they are pieces of dusty furniture. Soon, your ex will realize how pathetic her actions are and lay off your case.
  • The Dominant Ex – Dominant people want to control every situation possible. If these people turn into bitter exes, they will certainly do everything in their power to stamp their will and control the situation. If they want to have closure, consider yourself lucky, but if they want otherwise, be prepared for a little acting. Show to your former partner your best impressions on why the relationship did not work in the first place. Eventually, your former partner will realize that a relationship should be built around trust, love, respect, and compromise, instead of control.
  • The Sensitive Self-Pitying Ex – These exes will try to worm their way into your heart until you soften up and take them back as official romantic partners. If you have a soft spot for dramatic movies and touching lines, you might fall prey to the personalities of self-pitying exes and get back to the tumultuous relationship that you previously had with them. To counteract the pitiful plight of these exes, you must be firm with your reasons for breaking up with them. Talk to them in a kind and understanding manner until you drive all the points on why a romantic bond between you two can never work out. Block the soft spots of your personality so that you are not swayed. Remember that the break up is what's best for you both.
  • The Suicidal Ex – Suicidal exes shock former lovers like no other. One minute, they are crying and they suddenly have a knife pointed at their wrists during the next. Such a situation puts you in a bind, since nobody wants to be indirectly responsible for her ex-lover's untimely death. Some exes are not really serious about committing suicide but some simply cannot see the point of living without their former partners by their sides. To get rid of a suicidal ex, you must play the role of a life coach or a guidance counselor so you can get your ex out of the suicidal trance. Act calm and be very sweet during those moments. Show them that you truly understand their feelings then deliver the most inspiring and encouraging lines that you can think of. The only time that you can deliver good closure is when your suicidal ex has completely calmed down, which makes suicidal exes the hardest to deal with among all ex-lovers.
The Fall Guy/Girl Some bitter exes are not content even after delivering good closure. Their desire to get revenge in a relationship with you is too powerful for them to rationalize (In case your wondering, these are the top ten ways to get revenge on your ex-boyfriend). During these cases, your best move is to channel their desire some place else. That place is called the fall guy or fall girl. Since you have a good idea of the personality of your ex, you also know the types of individuals that will make good romantic partners with them. Contact the best-looking ones and ask a close friend to set your ex up on a date. If your ex refuses, tell your friend to draw the adviser card and invite your ex out for coffee or dinner. In the middle of your friend's and ex's conversation, cue the fall guy/girl to appear. Your friend will then introduce Mr. Perfect or Ms. Pretty to your ex. Through your cellphone, text message your friend to order drinks for both parties. The atmosphere will gradually get steamy between your ex and the fall guy/girl. Soon, they will be wrapped around each other's arms, which formally releases you from your ex's romantic perspective. In a Nutshell... Clingy exes are often haunted by questions and their perceived resolutions to the conflicts of their previous relationships. You are providing closure so that your clingy ex will not waste any more time crying over an unmendable relationship. Clearly, the closure is beneficial to both you and your ex, since you can move on with your lives and find better partners in the process. If your ex is is not ready to move on, you can indirectly provide a more suitable partner. In the end, your ex will realize that you are not the person fit their fairy tale ending.

Jennifer,I have an ex of 11 years and she too,is a royal pain in the ass.She thinks that she is God’s gift to men.She will not leave me alone after all these years.I finally told her,Look, you weren’t the best thing that ever hit this earth, that would be me.If you think that you are,you should go soul searching and see just how terrible you really are.
If that doesn’t work, take a guy to where you know he’ll be dining.Be all lovey-dovey(even if this guy is just a friend).Let him see first hand that you can live without him and that he isn’t nor will he ever be God!
