1. Hickeys
Ok, so we all know that hickeys are the result of an overzealous set of lips suction-cupping themselves to an area of skin and sucking until surface blood vessels break, right? Right, so I won’t elaborate on the subject any more here.
2. How to Get Rid of a Hickey
The question remains, once all of that blood is trapped right beneath the skin’s surface, how do you get rid of it?
Tips for Hiding and Removing Hickeys
- If you catch the hickey soon enough, your can minimize the mark by immediately applying ice.
- Surface stimulation will help disperse the blood. Gently rub and massage the area.
- Using a comb or a hairbrush to massage the area works better than fingers and hands.
- Using any tubular object with a domed end, apply steady pressure over the hickey and twist. It will hurt, but it will help. Lipstick caps, pen caps, and blistex caps work. The goal is to work the blood deeper into the skin.
- Make the hickey worse - if you use a curling iron, have your ‘friend’ reshape the hickey to match the pattern that it would make if you had burned yourself accidentally. This can work with any likely burn or bruise scenario. Do not burn yourself! Reshape the hickey with more suction.
- Utilize turtleneck sweaters, scarves, or makeup to cover it up.
- Rub vitamin K into the area.
- Apply a warm, moist, used tea-bag as a hot compress. Repeatedly re-wet and re-warm it as needed until the hickey disappears.

Or f u see 2 flys having sex b4 the fly nuts ( u know because his wings flare up) Kill the fly and use the blood on the hickey. It will remove it in 1 hour Tops!
omg…..the lipstick cap and the twisting thing works…but my hicky wasnt that dark….
I found that Bengay actually works pretty well to lighten it up. I warms up the area, and helps the blood flow. Spread a little on the hickey and let it sit for an hour or more.
so this girl gave me a hickie and i went a day without my mom seeing it and i cant rly hide it very well so i did the hot wash cloth this and it worked rly well. I read on a different website that ice only works if its like right after it happened or the same day and so since mine was over 24 hours it said to put a hot wash cloth on it until it goes away and it truly works… try it!!!!
ok, so to say the least i am very experined with getting rid of hickeys. my boyfreind and i have “experimented” with a lot of FUN things recently and i have ended up with tons of huge hickeys all over my body. now, i cant exactly show up to work with hickeys covering my body so i asked my doctor the fastest and most efficitent way to get rid of hickeys. i know it sounds weird, but it really works. if you take a sharpie and color on the exact part of your skin where the hickey is then the diacetone alcohol (one of the ingredients in sharpies) foreses the blood back into the blood stream instead of laying in the top layers of your skin. THIS REALLY WORKS!!!

dude, i put toothpaste on for about 15 minutes, then some ice and then using a small round handle twisted right on the spot…it is almost gone, you can hardly see it….SWEET

YO i have like a neck full of hickeys and i did the ice then then the hot towel and then TOOTHPASTE OVER NIGHT then taped an ICE PACK to my neck and then took a hot shower and it was GONE!
