How to Get Rid of A Hickey
1. Hickeys
Ok, so we all know that hickeys are the result of an overzealous set of lips suction-cupping themselves to an area of skin and sucking until surface blood vessels break, right? Right, so I won’t elaborate on the subject any more here.
2. How to Get Rid of a Hickey

The question remains, once all of that blood is trapped right beneath the skin’s surface, how do you get rid of it?
Tips for Hiding and Removing Hickeys
- If you catch the hickey soon enough, your can minimize the mark by immediately applying ice.
- Surface stimulation will help disperse the blood. Gently rub and massage the area.
- Using a comb or a hairbrush to massage the area works better than fingers and hands.
- Using any tubular object with a domed end, apply steady pressure over the hickey and twist. It will hurt, but it will help. Lipstick caps, pen caps, and blistex caps work. The goal is to work the blood deeper into the skin.
- Make the hickey worse - if you use a curling iron, have your ‘friend’ reshape the hickey to match the pattern that it would make if you had burned yourself accidentally. This can work with any likely burn or bruise scenario.
Do not burn yourself! Reshape the hickey with more suction. - Utilize turtleneck sweaters, scarves, or makeup to cover it up.
- Rub vitamin K into the area.
- Apply a warm, moist, used tea-bag as a hot compress. Repeatedly re-wet and re-warm it as needed until the hickey disappears.
- Add your success or failure stories to this page by using the form at the bottom and help out the next visitor to come here.

kso when you first get it, put ice on it for a while.
it will take the swelling down.
if you wait longer to do anything, put a hot hot hot compress on it.
like a wash rag.
and take something like the cap of chap stick, or the lid of a soda bottle and twist it on the hickie.
it hurts like a bitch, but press hard.
it really works good =].

Yea The Ice Dont Work.
so i had one of the worst hickies ive ever seen(HUGE & dark PURPLE) on one side of my neck & a little one on the other when i woke up this morning. i tried the spoon trick for 2 hours cause my friend told me about it a logn time ago & i remember it. it wasnt workign AT ALL instead it seemed to make it more noticable. so i came on here & read about the twisting with the chapstick caps, & also read the you should use the flat side of a battery, so i decided to make up my own by gettign a battery and twisting that instead (also rubbed it & stuff too), and it was actually starting to lighten so i did that for half an hour while reading about the rest of the ideas, and i noticed that almost everyone had said to use the hot wash cloth so i did that, and once it cooled down i would twist with the battery & then just kept switching back & forth. its not gone, but it is SOOOO MUCH LIGHTER!
im going to keep doing it to see if it actually goes away completely, but if it doesnt its at least light enough for me to cover it with make up
so thanks guysss
