1. Hickeys

a huge hickey in the neckOk, so we all know that hickeys are the result of an overzealous set of lips suction-cupping themselves to an area of skin and sucking until surface blood vessels break, right? Right, so I won't elaborate on the subject any more here.

2. How to Get Rid of a Hickey

The question remains, once all of that blood is trapped right beneath the skin's surface, how do you get rid of it?

Tips for Hiding and Removing Hickeys

    ice
  • If you catch the hickey soon enough, your can minimize the mark by immediately applying ice.
  • Surface stimulation will help disperse the blood. Gently rub and massage the area.
  • Using a comb or a hairbrush to massage the area works better than fingers and hands.
  • Using any tubular object with a domed end, apply steady pressure over the hickey and twist. It will hurt, but it will help. Lipstick caps, pen caps, and blistex caps work. The goal is to work the blood deeper into the skin.
  • Make the hickey worse - if you use a curling iron, have your 'friend' reshape the hickey to match the pattern that it would make if you had burned yourself accidentally. This can work with any likely burn or bruise scenario. turtleneck sweaterDo not burn yourself! Reshape the hickey with more suction.
  • Utilize turtleneck sweaters, scarves, or makeup to cover it up.
  • Rub vitamin K into the area.
  • Apply a warm, moist, used tea-bag as a hot compress. Repeatedly re-wet and re-warm it as needed until the hickey disappears.

Well I got wasted last night, and ended up with 6 awful hickeys. Sigh I have less than a day to get rid of them, and I’ve tried this:
•Rub a cold spoon (the rounded part) on it until its warm. Then keep rubbing with the spoon for like 3 minutes.
•Get a brush and rub it for a minute
•Rub with a hot wash cloth for 10 minutes
•Rub with the top of a lipstick container for 1 minute.

It worked for the most part on a small one… but for the bigger ones its not doing much.
    More work will come!

  7. I got one last night from my ex. My ex and my current girlfriend are really good friends. Im supposed to see my gf today… Im trying ice and massaging but it doesnt seem to be working

  8. I made mine worse by rubbing it with my fingers.. so all day people were looking at me like I was a FREAK. But I made it go away! This is what you do.

Then wahoo! It’s gone. No joke.. mine was terrible! But now its harrrrdly there. There won’t be any signs of it in about an hour.

  9. I’m here totally chillin when all of sudden friggen dracula starts chompin down on my neck… I was like okay this can be goooood. But half way thru I heard this bang… I ignored it at first but it got louder and louder. Turns out what I thought was my heart beating out of my chest was actually my fat little sister falling off the couch and walking up to my door to tell me she broke her arm. Well little kids say darndest things, what the hell is that on you effin neck. I felt like slapping the little troll but I got glimpe of it the hickey off the reflection from her glasses. I just had to push her outta my way so she falls once again as I make my way to the mirror. Hold crap I excaimed… thathorrible hickey was on my neck. I then immediately ran to the vac and put it on my neck to suck the bruise off and voila it was gone. I ended up taking her hosiptal she’s screwed with a cast but I pretty much got off scott free.

So I totally spent my first night in my new apartment with my boyfriend, and I left about 7 or 8 hickeys on his chest and not including the one on his neck…they aren’t visible but theyre still really bad. And he left two huge ones on my neck, so hopefully Ill be able to get them to go away and Ill try the ice, and comb thing, cuz I have to work in the morning…and the big bosses are comming in so Im kinda screwed….omg! hopefully I can get them to go away!
