Is, or has anyone claimed responsibility for the release of these destuctive asian beetles. I have read and had conversastions with our SWCD, Ohio State University, and others about the damage that they do every season. AND I MEAN DAMAGE, with the tracks that they leave, and this year on brand new paint on the outside of my home. That has new Hardie Plank Siding and new Andersen Windows. The absurd recomendations about a shop vac and caulking, I can only call assinine by the person that recomends any such trivial remedies. These insects not only create a mess on the entire house but also terrorize my wife and German Shepard when they are close to the house. Any work that I need to schedule on the outside of my home needs to be done before beetle season is here. Any contractors that have been scheduled to do any work refuse to do so due to the biting that they do, not to mention getting in your ears and nose. Any recomendations that anyone has come up with, again I can only catorgorize as trivial. The USDA could only recomend the same useless fixes. My recomendations was an insecticide drop from a C 130. They thought I was kidding -----I`m not ---at their peak to give you an idea of how bad they are I have 2 patio doors on each side of my kitchen that you cannot see through in the afternoon-----IS THERE ANY HELP OUT THERE

"If in case you do not want the Asian beetles to die, and rather see them released outdoors, then slipping a nylon stocking (secured with a rubber band) inside the hose attachment of the vacuum cleaner around the opening would do the trick. The suction would pull the beetles inside the improvisational material without killing them, after which you could humanely release the insects outside."

This is not a tip, but request! Do to my spiritual belief and covenant to my Creator, I am prohibited from killing his creatures, in any manner. Currently, I have obtained, somehow, a very small beetle or bug, about 1 inch long, 1/32d wide, with a long snout. I looked at ticks and it didn't fit; looked at lice and it didn't fit; look at beetles and it came close to a carpet beetle. Because I am prohibited from killing my Creator's creatures that breaths the breath of life, I must find a way to rid these little creature without harming them. I've cleaned the area well, and tossed the creatures outside I have found, but some still linger. Can anyone assist by offering any wisdom the Creator give on this topic. Thanks. Gus.
