My #1 way of getting rid of DL's (Yuck!) was a deodorant can and lighter - due to their small thin structure it only takes a split second burst of flame to incinerate them without posing any harm to walls and ceilings. Usually all their legs pop off. Beware of flame sensitive items though. My new #1 method is safer: use an air pistol and fire without pellets at close range, the blast of air disassembles their bodies. I'm also using expanding polyurethane foam to seal cracks leading into the house. They make my skin crawl, seeing them sitting there makes me want to vomit. I don't have a phobia, i.e. I'm not scared of them, actually I feel anger towards the invaders for being so disgusting in my house, crawling everywhere touching everything and leaving dead bug infested webs everywhere.

We have a clump of about 20 granddaddy longlegs under the eave above our kitchen window. They do not move. We knocked them off with a burst of water pressure, but they climbed back up and clumpped again. This seems unusual. They have been there several weeks. Hate to kill them but it's gross! Ever hear of anything like this?

Hello, I have an awful lot of daddy long legs on my plants. I also have vine weevil and a lot of catterpillars. I use vine weevil killer and go out late at night with a torch and kill everything in sight. I am losing a lot of plants plus my grass is getting destroyed, I have used Provado Lawn Grub Killer. I live in a terrace house as you can imagine my lawn (for want of a better description) is tiny. I did treat it with all the chemicals I was advised to use before re-seeding. Basically I'm just fed up with the killing its starting to turn my tummy. Can you advise me what to do? Please Mary Frances Thank you anyway.
