I put this question out to fans and readers on my website, and there were several answers, both organic and chemical. Spider mites can be hard to get rid of once you got them, but there are a few ways that I know that work from personal experience.

Ok I don't understand what tip is so bear with me.I've used a product called Stink, its for spider-mites and was warned that it is not safe to injest any time soon after use,I have being badly infected with mites so had no choice. My question is,is it safe or can I use it sparingly without any adverse affects. Thanks for your time

Will the soap and alcohol hurt my apple tree? It is beneath the spider mite infested Locust so would get the over-spray. Also how about the insecticidal soaps, will they hurt the apple tree?

Thanks

Help!! I just found little crawley white dots on my red pepper plant. I have two tomato plants, one jalepeno, and one red pepper plant in a large planter. I know, overcrowding! This is the first time I have grown anything, so I had no clue that they would be so crowded. Everything is growing nicely. On the two tomato plants, I have about 30 tomatoes already and it is early July. Just tonight, I spotted some white sandy looking granules on the upper leaves of my red pepper plant. Only covering about 5 or 6 leaves, they are on the tops as well as on the undersides. No webs have appeared, so I'm not sure if they are spider mites. I gently sprayed a mixture of about 5:1 combination of rubbing alcohol and water on the affected leaves and wiped them as clean as I could. I doused them pretty good. What could they be?? Can anyone HELP??? Please???
Thanks, Sue
