Long Island SEO
You may not know this, but there is an online ad spending frenzy going on right now. In 2010 the United States spent over $24 billion in online advertising. That number is supposed to reach over $40 billion in 2014. We all know the Internet is growing and companies are depending on the Internet to survive, so these numbers are only going to grow.
You might be asking yourself, what can I do to make more money online. The first thing I would do is contact a professional Internet marketing firm. That is what I did and since I started my Internet marketing campaign, my revenue has doubled within 5 months. How did I find a reputable company to work with? Well, since my business is located on Long Island, I did a Google search for Long Island SEO. After I did my due-diligence, I picked a firm called SEO Pledge. What business am I in that needs Long Island SEO?
We are a water restoration company, so we only travel so far for work. The plan was to be on the first page of Google for all the big cities and towns on Long Island. You can say this is a big Internet marketing campaign for a local business.
What was my Long Island SEO Internet marketing strategy?
My main goal was reaching the top of Google for my important local search terms. After 6 months of trying to figure out how to do this myself, I gave up and realized it is a lot harder than I thought. We are a local business, so I was not trying to fight for competitive search terms, all I wanted was local search terms.
My Long Island SEO plan:
Create mini-websites that target specific search terms was the plan. Each website would be built on WordPress because I was told it was great for SEO. After the sites were built and optimized, I started seeing results pretty quickly. For brand new sites, it does take about 2-3 months to get picked up by the search engines, but that is much faster than I was used to. After the sites were built, backlinks were created that were optimized for those specific search terms. Content was also created to do some article marketing.
The overall plan was to build the strength of the websites that were optimized solely on 1 or 2 search terms. This was a totally different idea than what I was trying to do.
What were my Long Island SEO results?
As I said, my business doubled… and you can see why. I have learned that Google is much bigger than Yahoo, Bing and other search engines and I have also learned that first page Google gets over 90% of the clicks. That means that 90% of people do not go to the second page of Google. Also, over 70% of people click on the organic results, more than the paid results. This means that first page Google can generate a lot more traffic.
I now see that because I get a lot of phone calls and a lot more business. It was almost like someone hit that easy button.
Future Long Island SEO plans:
I want to start up a lead business in water restoration and go nationwide. I figured if this can work on Long Island why cant it work in every other state. If I can collect leads and sell them to nationwide or other local companies, it could really take my business to the next level.
