How to Get Rid of Cellulite on the Legs

Get out and take a brisk walk every day or evening. Set aside at least 45 minutes to an hour each day for walking. Make sure your shoulders are back and chin is held high and walk faster than your normal walking stride. Relax and let your arms swing along with your pace. To effectively tone your outer and inner thighs you should lengthen your stride. The lumps and bumps of cellulite are caused more by lifestyle, so get off the couch and change your lifestyle for a healthier body.

Some important leg exercises that you should do will teach you how to get rid of cellulite on the legs. While you are laying on your stomach raise your legs from your knees so your feet are about a foot or so off the ground. Keep your knees bent and hold your legs up to the count of ten to fifteen seconds. Straighten out your legs while still in the air and then let them down slowly.

To help your inner thighs, sit on the floor with your back straight and your knees bent up towards your chest. Have your legs wide open. Lift your right foot with your left hand and bring your foot to your left knee. Hold that position for ten to fifteen seconds. Do the same thing with your other leg.

While sitting on the floor with your legs straight out, support your body by placing your hands on the floor behind you. Bring one leg up bent at the knee so your foot is flat on the floor. With the other leg, stretch it out straight with your toes pointing up. Bring your leg up in the air and then back down slowly.

Get down on your knees and elbows and slowly kick one leg out behind you while your heel is pointing up to the ceiling. Hold the position for a few seconds before lowing your leg down to the floor. Do this five times and then change legs.

Holding the back of a chair kick one leg out and up about a foot in the air. Point your toes as you are kicking and hold the position for five or more seconds. Do this with each leg for a count of 20 or more.

To work on your thighs you can stand about a foot away from the wall with your feet and lean your back on the wall. Slide down the wall until you are in a sitting position in mid air. Hold this position for 30 seconds to two minutes.

Repeat each one of the leg exercises for five to fifteen times. Your legs will gain muscle tone and your cellulite bumps will disappear. A proper diet of high protein will also help get rid of cellulite on your legs. A daily routine of exercises and a healthy diet will give you a healthy lifestyle free of cellulite bumps and lumps.
